Quantum Consulting Group is an established forensic accounting / litigation support firm with offices in Winter Park and Tallahassee, Florida. Our staff includes certified public accountants, certified fraud examiners, and certified valuation analysts. Our staff has substantial experience working on a variety of construction claim investigations, business valuations, business damages, fraud investigation and litigation matters.
We are seeking a CPA with extensive construction accounting experience to join the Construction Claims Investigation Division in our Winter Park office. This person will be responsible for working with the lead consultants on multiple client engagements with government agencies, law firms and private businesses.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the client to plan the engagement
- Interact closely with counsel and company representatives to gather and analyze information
- Analyze and critique opposing party claims
- Direct daily fieldwork and manage staff performance
- Draft preliminary reports of findings, review documents and depositions to identify information related to key damage issues
- Interpret and explain the underlying financial aspects of an engagement to enable counsel to adequately understand the relevant business issues
- Testify as an expert witness at trial or other dispute resolution forum
- Stay informed of business/economic developments and their impact to the client
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present seminars to law firms, clients and prospective clients on current construction claim topics
- Develop proposals for potential new engagements
- Develop / maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Provide performance feedback / training, and conduct performance reviews
- Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment
- Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Florida CPA license, additional certifications a plus
- Extensive litigation or audit work experience from a Big 5, boutique firm or construction industry environment
- Substantial knowledge of PC-based tools including: Excel, Word and Access
- Available for 10% overnight travel
